Notary Public

Notarization of Documents

Notary Public service is usually available at the Adult & Teen Services Reference Desk whenever the Library is open. There is no charge for our Notary service. Please contact library staff before you come in, to confirm that a Notary will be available or to set up an appointment in advance, by email or by phone at 630-529-1641, ext. 210.

Special Instructions

The Notary will ask to see a current, government-issued ID that includes a photo and signature, such as a driver’s license or passport. A Notary witnesses or attests a signature, so please remember not to sign your document in advance.

Please note: The Library is not able to provide witnesses. If your document requires witnesses, we ask that you arrange them yourself ahead of arriving at the Library for a notarization. Additional service guidelines are available in our Notary Public Service Policy
