Technology
The Library provides resources to ensure that everyone has equal access to technology and devices, including:
- Public Computers in Adult Services, Teen Services and Youth Services. Computers are Windows-based, provide high-speed Internet access, and are loaded with common productivity applications;
- Laptops to checkout for use in the Library. Laptops are Windows-based, provide Internet through the Library's Wi-Fi network, and are loaded with common productivity applications;
- Scan, Fax and Copy near the Circulation Desk, in Adult Services, and in Youth Services;
- Print from the public computers to laserjet printers in Adult Services and Youth Services; or print to the laserjet printers from anywhere - your laptop, tablet or smart phone, your home computer - using Web Print;
- 3D Printing in Youth Services; and
- Wi-Fi access throughout the building.
- Audio cables (for listening to Playaways and more in your car);
- Phone charging cables (in-library use to charge your Android or Apple phone);
- Graphing calculator (in-library use);
- Wi-Fi hotspots (to connect up to 10 devices to Broadband Internet);
- Kill-A-Watt devices (to measure the amount of energy used by your household appliances, computers or devices); and
- eReaders (Nooks and Kindles)
