You can support the Library directly with monetary donations and donations of property, such as gently used books, DVDs, CDs, and other similar materials.
Gently Used Books & More
The Library accepts gently used materials on an ongoing basis during regular open hours. Deposit donations in the book drop just outside the Library's entrance, labeled for this purpose. Once donated, all materials become property of the Library. Most items are given to the Friends of the Library for use in their semi-annual used book sale.
The Library does not accept: textbooks, medical or legal texts, condensed books, VHS tapes, and items in poor physical condition.
Commemorative Gifts
Remember a loved one, celebrate a milestone, or honor a friend through the Library's Commemorative Gift Program. Funds under this program are used to purchase a new book and place a memorial bookplate inside to honor or recognize the person or event. The Library also accepts commemorative donations on a larger scale and anyone interested is encouraged to reach out to the Executive Director to discuss how those funds may be used. The Friends of the Library and the Library Foundation, separate charitable organizations, may also accept commemorative monetary donations.
Commemorative gift donations to the Library are accepted in cash, by check, and online.
Bequests
For individuals or estates desiring to bequest money or real estate, the Library accepts such donations. To discuss making a bequest or other forms of planned giving directly to the Library, please contact the Executive Director.
General Donations
The Library also accepts general monetary donations, with or without restrictions, at the front desk on the Library's first floor or online.
